The 35-year-old - who used cannabis to stop him behaving like a ‘zombie’ - appeared before Boston magistrates on Wednesday (May 28), when he pleaded guilty to a charge of possession.

Prosecutor Nick Kirkland explained the drug was found at four separate locations at his Craven Avenue address at around 2.20pm.

“The cannabis came from various places around the house,” he said.

“The combined weight was 435 grams.”

The court was told Addison was undergoing a community order for a cannabis possession charge imposed by the courts in September last year.

He also had a possession with intent to supply conviction from 2021.

Defending Addision, Phillipa Chatterton said her client suffered from ADHD and his medication ‘makes him like a zombie’.

“Cannabis alleviates the symptoms,” she added.

Miss Chatterton told the court there had been ‘a significant gap in offending’, pointing out Addison’s last conviction was for an offence dating back to 2022.

She also said he was complying well with his community order, having completed all 80 hours of unpaid work and paid off all his outstanding fines.

The court was told Addison acts as a full-time carer for a family member.

He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

Magistrates also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drug.
