Fire crews from Boston, Kirton and Donington attend blaze which caused ‘severe damage’ to hedge

Three crews attended a hedge fire which suffered severe damage.

Firefighters from Kirton, Donington and Boston dealt with the blaze which took place in Swineshead at 6.23pm yesterday (May 9).

“Crews from Kirton Fire Station, Donington Fire Station and Boston Fire Station attended reports of a conifer hedge fire on Green Lane, Swineshead,” a Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue statement read.

“This was severe damage by fire to 15m of conifer hedge and light damage by fire to telegraph pole.”
