Boston Dancing Witches hunt for help to create a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ charity calendar
A group of cauldron-dancing witches are searching for help to create a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ calendar for charity.
The Boston Dancing Witches felt as though Lincolnshire-based charities were often ‘drowned out by the big guys’ so decided they wanted to do something to help.
After much discussion, the group landed on the idea of making a 2025 calendar with its members, some photographers and a ‘brave wizard tech support team’.
“It will be tastefully done if rather tongue in cheek, but no full nudity, sorry,” said witch Ros Reynolds.
However, these wacky Wiccans are in need of sponsors and are looking for businesses in the area to help fund the project in exchange for advertisements in the calendar.
“With everyone's help in supporting us, we believe we can raise a lot for local charities, plus help raise awareness of body positivity, mental wellbeing, and self-esteem,” She added.
Although the group has not decided which charities to support, they have agreed that they would definitely like to help animals and the Spalding Flower Parade.
The dancing witches have been given a quote of £3,000-£4,000 to make 1,000 quality calendars including moon phases, pagan and Wiccan dates alongside the usual ones.
Once made, the group hope to keep the cost under £5.
