Butterfield Centre in Bourne to expand services thanks to NFU Mutual donation

A charity which helps deliver meals to the elderly is to expand its services thanks to a large donation.

The Butterfield Centre, in Bourne, was nominated by NFU Bourne, Boston and Sleaford to receive a donation of £7,899 as part of NFU Mutual's 2025 Agency Giving Fund.

Representatives from the NFU visited the centre to learn about the services that the centre provides to the local community.

They include a seven-day-a-week meals on wheels service within Bourne as well as a Community Pantry which redistributes surplus food.

The donation will be used to fund a new position to allow the charity to expand its existing services and develop new ones, and to foster local networking and fundraising opportunities.
