Bourne Lions Club hosts family fun day

Fairground rides and dance performances were amongst the attractions at a family fun day.

Bourne Lions Club hosted its annual event at the Recreation Ground in Bourne on Sunday (July 7) to raise money for local causes.

Although the turnout was down on previous years thanks to the showery weather and other events taking place locally, the field was full of people throughout the day.

Club secretary Jon Chudley said: “The weather wasn’t kind to us but everyone who came along seemed to be happy and having a good time.

“We don’t know how much was raised yet but all the proceeds will go into our account to be used as and when we recevie requests from the community.”
