Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue respond to fire at scrap metal plant Enicor in Bourne

Firefighters attended a blaze at a scrap metal plant last night (Tuesday, August 27).

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue responded to the blaze at Enicor, a metal recycling and processing plant, in South Fen Road, Bourne, at just before 10pm last night. Residents nearby were warned to keep their windows and doors closed.

Later, the fire service said the blaze had caused “severe damage” to plant machinery and scrap metal.

They had left the scene by 6.30am today.
