Man who kissed girl faces jail

A man faces a possible custodial sentence after he admitted causing or inciting a girl aged under-13 to engage in sexual activity by kissing him.

Kym Goody, 31, pleaded guilty to the single offence when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.

The charge states Goody caused or incited the girl to kiss him on five occasions between June 18, 2022 and August 10, 2022.

His victim, who can not be named to protect her anonymity, was in court to watch Goody enter his guilty plea.

Jon Dee, defending Goody, said he was suffering from mental health problems at the time of his offending and asked for sentence to be adjourned for the preparation of a probation report on his client.

Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight agreed to the request but told Goody she could not promise he would not get a custodial sentence.

"You have pleaded guilty to one offence," Judge Sjolin Knight explained.

"It is still a serious matter, but it is a case where the court will benefit with a pre-sentence report from the Probation Service."

Goody, formerly of Bourne and now living in Elliott Road, March, Cambridgeshire, was granted bail on condition he does not contact the complainant.

He will be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on February 13.
