Bourne Christmas market cancelled by Storm Darragh

Bourne’s Christmas market tomorrow (Saturday,December 7) has been cancelled due to Storm Darragh.

A council spokesperson has said: “We know this is disappointing but health and safety is first and foremost and with wind gusts forecast in excess of 40mph and rain throughout the day it would be irresponsible for us to go ahead.

“We are unable to postpone this event due to road closure applications needing to be submitted three months in advance.”

The Christmas lights will still be turned on at 5pm tomorrow (Saturday).
