It was Bourne's seventh away tie in this competition with the 'Leafe having been drawn at home in every round so far.

In a bid to preserve their record-breaking club run in the competition for the Wakes, Bourne exerted some strong pressure in the final stages.

Zak Munton had a curling effort well saved before the home custodian tipped over a fierce strike from the Wakes attacker as Bourne were unable to find a leveller.
