Peterborough United Women will play at Bourne Town for another season

Chairman Chris Good is confident that Peterborough United Women will continue to thrive at the Abbey Lawn after agreeing to play at Bourne Town for another season.

The Posh side have played at the JJ Mac Stadium for the past couple of campaigns in the FA Women's National League.

They secured a third place finish in Division One Midlands last term and were backed by a healthy following for each home game.

Good said: "We are delighted to announce that Posh Women will once again be using Abbey Lawn as their home ground for the upcoming season.

"This decision reflects our continued commitment to supporting and enhancing women's football within our community.

"The Abbey Lawn has always been a special place for our teams and fans, providing an excellent environment for both players and supporters.

"We are confident that Posh Women will thrive in this setting, benefiting from the superb facilities and the passionate local fan base.

"We look forward to welcoming everyone to Abbey Lawn for what promises to be an exciting and successful season.

"Together, let's support Posh Women as they continue to grow and achieve great things on the field."

The Abbey Lawn is undergoing several renovations over the summer including the construction of two new stands, six-figure changing room refurbishments and a new outdoor bar area.

Posh Women's general manager Sam Winch commented: "After discussing plans with Chris, it was clear to see his ambitions and commitment to growing football in the local area.

"Bourne Town have had a fantastic season and the ground itself has been having a huge facelift over the last few weeks.

"I am really excited to continue our partnership over the 24/25 season as Bourne have been fantastic hosts for us.

"With their new outside bar now in place, new stands in the process of being erected and various other work going on around the ground, including a complete revamp of the dressing rooms, I can’t wait to invite our fans back to see it all.

"A huge thankyou to all the volunteers, past, present and future who continue to help create a fantastic family feeling on Posh match days and I hope that this continued partnership can allow us to grow further partnerships within Bourne and the surrounding area in the near future."

Bourne's first team won promotion last season after being crowned United Counties League Division One champions.
