Deepings Lions present money to Market Deeping Relief in Need and Prostate Cancer UK

A community group has presented £1,600 to good causes following the success of a charity raffle.

The Deepings Lions split the proceeds of its Easter egg raffle between Market Deeping Relief in Need and Prostate Cancer UK.

Cheques were presented during a meeting at the Oddfellows Hall in Market Deeping last week.

Event coordinator Patrick Archer said: “I would like to give special thanks to all the pubs, shops, the community centre and all their customers and clients who supported this event so magnificently. Every year the sight of a 1kg decorated chocolate egg seems to bring out big smiles”.

Bob Broughton and Julie O’Boyle accepted the donation for Market Deeping Relief in Need and Tracy Taylor attended on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK.
