Pupils from The Deepings School marked Armistice Day

Pupils marked Armistice Day in a tribute to those who served and sacrificed their lives.

They observed the two-minute silence on Monday (November 11) and sixth formers visited Market Deeping’s silhouette memorial, where they laid a wreath and reflected on the loss of those who fought in the two world wars.

Head of sixth form, Tors Millikin, said: “We were so proud to see our pupils participating in the tribute in such meaningful ways, and this highlights how deeply they have connected with the significance of the day.

“It’s a testament to their understanding that the Armistice is not just a historical event, but marking it is a reflection of our ongoing responsibility to uphold the values of peace, unity, and respect.”

Kirstie Johnson Headteacher at The Deepings School, said: “Our pupils understand the importance of Armistice Day and it was incredibly moving to see our young people show such respect and dignity as they remembered those who gave so much for our freedom.
