A-levels 2025: The Deepings School sixth formers outdo national progress

Pupils achieved a 100% pass rate in A-level and BTec courses in their sixth form.

The teenagers’ results at The Deepings School showed they had made good academic progress in the two years since completing their GCSEs.

The sixth form’s ‘value added’ score compared favourably with the national average, and pupils at The Deepings School typically gained higher A-level and BTec grades than their GCSE grades indicated.

Pupils also performed well in the extended project qualification (EPQ), which is a self-directed research project on a topic chosen by the pupil. An EPQ is the equivalent of half an A-level and prepares pupils for undergraduate study.

University courses chosen by The Deepings School pupils include medicine, law, engineering, arts and maths.

Others are embarking on apprenticeships in electrical engineering and finance.
