Barrowby artist selling work with proceeds going to Grantham Canal Society




A Barrowby man is selling his paintings to raise funds for a canal society.

Colin Henfrey has painted scenes of the canal near his home in Barrowby over the last two years.

The amateur artist is donating the proceeds from the sale of his work to Grantham Canal.

Anthony Goody, Grantham Canal Society committee member, said: “We’re always pleased to receive donations that will help The Grantham Canal Society maintain and restore the Grantham Canal as an asset for the community.

“We’re particularly thankful for Colin putting his artistic skill to such fantastic use - funds raised will allow our volunteers to continue to do their work.”

Prints are on 300gm paper. An A3 print is £10, A4 print £7.50, post and packing £6.50, if delivery is required. The post tub can hold up to five pictures for £6.50.

Colin said: “The picture containing the horse drawn barge is what I think it would look like on our canal if there was a barge on there.”
