Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue officers from Grantham called to arcing electricity pole in Gadds Lane, Belton

An electricity pole was damaged after it arced, causing a fire.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue officers from Grantham were called to an arcing electricity pole in Gadds Lane, Belton, at 7.48am today (Friday).

The incident caused severe fire damage to the fuse unit and wiring, and moderate fire damage to the wooden pole.

The fire was extinguished using a hose reel and a thermal imaging camera. It was caused by a blown fuse.
