Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Markus Birdman to top comedy bill in Grantham
A semi-finalist in Britain’s Got Talent will make an appearance at a comedy show in Grantham next month.
Markus Birdman will top the bill at the Funhouse Comedy Club at the Guildhall Arts Centre ballroom on Thursday, November 30.
Birdman is the intelligent, controversially witty, hip and silly talent who reached the semis of this year's Britain’s Got Talent. Regarded by many in the know as one of the best circuit acts in the country, he has toured internationally and had highly acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival.
His ‘dandyish onstage confidence, versatility and infectious nature result in a truly absorbing performance’.
Opening the night will be Irish comedian Martin Mor. Starting out as a circus entertainer, he then decided to turn to stand-up. Having supported Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jasper Carrot, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vegas, Steve Coogan, and once Tina Turner on Tour he is one of the most popular and well travelled comics on the circuit.
His fiery insults often directed at audience members, are accepted with laughter when delivered by this gentle giant of a man.
Also appearing is the charismatic Andrea Hubert, her eccentric and dark humour has the audience in hysterics.
Completing the line-up will be the smart and constantly funny Daniel Blacow.
Compere for the night is the amiable and animated Spiky Mike.
Tickets are £14 in advance
