St Wulfram’s in Grantham set to host Hitchin Concert Band for summer music performance
A Grantham church will welcome a band with 40 members for a summer concert.
The Hitchin Concert Band will perform at St Wulfram’s Church on Saturday July 15 at 7.30pm.
All funds raised by the concert will be donated to the church, with tickets costing £5 each.
The band, based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, was formed 25 years ago, now playing under conductor Alison Eales.
It has a wide and varied repertoire which it continues to broaden and expand, embracing styles ranging from jazz to classical music.
Hitchin Concert Band performs locally twice a year and has regularly toured in the UK and abroad.
The band has toured twice in Catalonia and also in Tuscany, performing in several prestigious venues. The most recent foreign tour was to Belgium in 2014.

Hithchin Concert Band has won gold and silver awards in the community band section of the National Concert Band Festivals.
