Dashcam footage shows a combine harvester driver lose control on the A1.

Dorota Deb was travelling from Spalding to a go karting track in Mansfield last Thursday (August 15) at just after 9.30am, when she saw the vehicle’s tyre had blown on the A1 near Grantham.

As a result, the vehicle lost control in front of her and headed into the central reservation, which she captured on her dashcam.

Dorota said: “The other car in front of us who escaped the combine was our friend and my daughter was in there.

“While our friend was passing the combine, we saw that the tyre on the back was a bit wobbly and I shouted to my partner to slow down.

“We were all stressed. I have never had an accident before.

“We stopped on the next layby as my daughter rang me crying, asking if we were ok.

“She thought we hit the combine as they didn’t see what happened after they managed to pass it.”

Lincolnshire Police was called to the broken down vehicle last week.

As a result, one lane was closed for some time after the vehicle’s tyre rim had caused damage to the road.
