Man arrested on suspicion of robbery following ‘serious’ assault in Grantham




A man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in relation to an incident in Grantham that left another man in hospital.

While providing an update on the alleged assault of a man in his 30s, Lincolnshire Police confirmed today (Tuesday) that a 46-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

The incident, which took place in East Avenue, was first reported to police at 5.25pm on Saturday (October 28).

The man in his 30s sustained serious injuries to his leg and was taken to hospital for treatment.

It was reported the victim’s house keys and phone were also taken during the incident.

The 46-year-old has been released on police bail while investigations are ongoing.

A spokesperson said: “We are still appealing for witnesses and any footage that may help with our inquiries. If you can help, please get in touch.”
