MSK Doctors' new MRI scanner is a first for Lincolnshire

Specialising in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, MSK Doctors are bringing their highly regarded Harley Street standard of service to their Lincolnshire-based clinics in Sleaford and Grantham.

Appointments for the new open MRI scanner are available on a non-referral basis, so there are no long waiting times. Both self-pay and insurance patients are accepted, and scan results are reported within 24 to 48 hours by a specialist consultant radiologist, with an option for a virtual or face to face follow up appointment.

The scanner, which has been approved by the International Federation of Sports Medicine, is designed specifically for musculoskeletal conditions. It is suitable for everybody, including bariatric patients and those who suffer from claustrophobia and panic attacks as, unlike a traditional “tunnel” scanner, all four sides are open.

The new facility, which offers a range of MRI scans including knee, spine, shoulder, elbow and ankle will be based in MSK Doctors’ brand new, state of the art clinic in London Road, Silk Willoughby, Sleaford.

Recognised internationally by the Cartilage Regeneration Society as a teaching centre of excellence, MSK Doctors also have a clinic in Grantham, from which they perform regenerative work including injections and cell therapy as well as innovative techniques to treat arthritis which aren’t available on the NHS.

Professor Lee, who has been regrowing bone, joint and cartilage for patients for the past ten years, has a background of treating high-level sports people including Premier League footballers. His team use both surgical and non-surgical methods to treat musculoskeletal conditions.

Lee added: “We are very much Lincolnshire based, but when we carry out operations, we work from Harley Street due to the prestige of the area and outstanding facilities. We want to continue to bring that Harley Street standard to our clinics in this area.”
