Grantham places of worship set to reopen over the weekend
Places of worship are on the list of establishments permitted to reopen from July 4 onwards.
This comes after last week's government announcement which also permitted industries such as hair salons and pubs to reopen this Saturday.
Father Stuart Craddock, Rector of St Wulfram’s Church, confirmed that services would be starting up again at the church from Sunday, July 5, with digital services continuing as they have been.
He said: “We are not in the land of knowing exactly what that means yet. We need guidance from the House of Bishops. We will know more by the end of the week.
"We’re Covid secure already, we just need to adapt to get more people in.”
Father Stuart has been contacted throughout lockdown regarding when weddings, christenings and funerals could return.
St Wulfram’s has its first post-lockdown wedding booked for July 25. As per the most recent Government announcement, a maximum of 30 people will be allowed to attend.
