Positive coronavirus cases at Moy Park in Grantham

A number of workers have tested positive for Covid-19 at Moy Park in Grantham.

Several positive cases at the Gonerby Hill Foot factory have been reported, with Moy Park stating "the number of cases is very small".

Moy Park refused to confirm the number of staff who have tested positive.

A spokesperson for Moy Park said: "There is no cause for concern at Moy Park Grantham.

"Advanced safety measures have been in place since late March, these include Perspex screens, one-way flow systems on site, staggered breaks and socially distanced rest and break areas as well as additional PPE.

"There hasn’t been anything more than a very small number of cases at the site to date."

Based on Gonerby Road, the company is one of Europe’s leading poultry producers. Back in June, they invested over £4million in safety and supportive measures to protect its staff.
