A1 closed from Grantham to South Witham after ‘serious’ crash

The A1 has been closed due to a “serious” crash.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed at around 12.15pm today (Tuesday) that the A1 southbound is closed from the A607 at Grantham to the B668 at South Witham.
This is due to a “serious collision” on the southbound carriageway, with emergency services in attendance.
A police spokesperson said: “Please avoid the area or change your travel plans if possible. The area is heavily congested.
“We will update when we can.”
The AA Live Traffic Map also reported a broken down van near the A151 junction for Colsterworth Services.
