Points failure causes disruption to trains between Grantham and Ely




A points failure is causing significant disruption to train services this morning (Thursday).

The incident, reported by East Midlands Railway (EMR), took place near Peterborough station and is affecting services between Grantham and Ely.

It has affected several routes, including the Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich line.

Affected services include the 6.42am Sheffield to Norwich, the 7.17am Warrington Central to Norwich, and the 10.56am Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street.

EMR has advised that some trains may be able to divert around the issue but warned of delays and alterations to scheduled services.
