Trains delayed between Grantham and Newark Northgate





Trains have either been cancelled or are delayed by up to 80 minutes between Grantham and Newark Northgate.

Due to heavy flooding, trains are running at a reduced speed.

A message on the National Rail websitre says: “Heavy rain flooding the railway between Grantham and Newark North Gate means trains have to run at a severely reduced speed on all lines.

“The additional journey time caused by the slow speeds is reducing the number of trains that can operate through the affected area.

“Trains between these stations may be delayed by up to 80 minutes, cancelled or revised.

“Major disruption is expected until the end of the day”
