Jim Collins and Dave Sharples hit holes-in-one at Sudbrook Moor Golf Club

Life's achievements come in all manner of guises.

For golfers, an ace, or what is more commonly called a 'hole in one', is something to be proud of and to be celebrated.

For Jim Collins, who discovered the joy of golf at Sudbrook Moor nearly 10 years ago, his ace is a highlight of his career.

Jim holed his tee shot from the 12th tee during a general play round, witnessed by his regular golf pals Keith, Mark and Tony.

After the euphoric round, there was a mention in the clubhouse of marking the special occasion with some refreshments and it cost the highly delighted Jim four burgers and four coffees which is indelible on his memory.

Congratulations also to Dave Sharples on another hole in one, now amounting to the fourth of his career.

Dave recorded his most recent ace in a club stableford competition on the sixth, the same hole as his 2019 achievement.
