Sudbrook Moor's scratch foursomes team of six were on tip-top form in round one of the County Inter-Club Matchplay.

Playing hosts to Burghley Park Golf Club on Friday night, a sustained and thrilling evening evolved, providing great viewing for the gallery.

The final outcome was a convincing win for Sudbrook Moor of plus seven, the aggregate score of the three pairings' 54 holes.

On home ground at the end of June, as one of the remaining 16 clubs, there is more excitement in store.

Sudbrook Moor will meet Gainsborough’s Thonock Park who came through round one after their home win against Laceby Manor.
