King’s School first XI hosted the inaugural Old Boys’ match at the school’s playing fields, off North Parade, last Saturday.

The current Lincolnshire Under-18 Schools and Colleges League champions are enjoying another campaign of success and celebrated mid-season with a 6-1 victory over the former King’s students.

It was a keenly contested match, with the Old Boys’ led by Tom Shearer, but his less youthful side were unable to match the passing and movement of Mr Harrison’s first team.

l Three King’s players have made their Lincolnshire under-18 debuts this season.

Year 13 pupils Christian Andersen and Daniel Hibbert joined Oliver Reid (Year 12) to represent the county in a match against a very impressive Notts side by whom they were defeated.

l Two King’s Year 11 students were invited to represent Lincs Schools Football Under-16 squad.

Daniel Bradshaw and Corey Hammond-Hawkins played in the team against Boston United in a game that was drawn 1-1.

Daniel was asked to captain the side and has been selected for further games.
