Grantham Town are beaten by Racing Club Warwick in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division
Grantham Town boss Nathan Arnold was left to bemoan his side's game management after defeat at Racing Club Warwick on Saturday.
The Gingerbreads had taken an early lead through Ben Richards in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division match.
However, Cameron Ebbutt had equalised within 18 minutes before Archie Hamp put the hosts in front early in the second half.
An injury-time breakaway goal from Harry Eden then sealed Grantham's fate as they fell to their 19th league loss of the season.
Arnold said: "We had a really good start and got in front with a good goal.
"We were in the ascendency but then came the defining moment for us in that period of 20 minutes after we scored.
"We just lacked any kind of control and made poor choices.
"We played into their hands and they then grew into the game.
"Credit to them but I felt we lost the game in that period. We lost our way and the game management side of it needed to be better."
Grantham went into the match without the services of goalkeeper Paul Cooper who has returned to National League North side Buxton.
James Leverton took over the goalkeeping duties after getting a couple of games under his belt with United Counties League side Boston Town in recent weeks.
Newcomer Jaiden Campbell-Ryce was on the substitutes' bench after joining on loan from League Two side Doncaster Rovers.
Grantham got the best possible start against their 11th placed hosts with Richards heading home from a corner in the seventh minute.
However, they were unable to make the most of their early initiative and Ebbutt equalised after being found in space out wide before cutting inside and drilling home a low finish.
Callum Coyle twice went close to putting the hosts ahead before Warwick hit the post with a close range effort following a goalmouth scramble.
The home side got their noses in front 10 minutes into the second half when Coyle's back post cross was headed by Hamp.
Freddie Allen came close to an equaliser for Grantham but his low shot was clawed away by Sam Lomax in the home goal.
Leverton made a couple of decent saves to keep Grantham in the game before they were inches away from levelling when Campbell-Ryce's first-time shot struck the post.
The visitors piled players forward in the latter stages in search of an equaliser but one long throw from Sam Muggleton was headed clear to spark a breakaway which set up Eden to sweep home the match-clinching third goal.
"Arnold added: "We've had no luck whatsoever and you need a bit of it.
"If Jayden scores, we would probably have had a good period and, who knows, we could have gone on and won the game.
"We threw caution to the wind and conceded the third goal because we had to go for it.
"I would never ever question the desire or determination of the lads to win but our naivety at times and how to see a game out or manage moments in matches is where we've come unstuck."
Grantham remain at the foot of the league table, 10 points adrift of safety. They are without a game this weekend.
