Grantham Town have appointed Mitch Griffiths as their new first team manager.
Griffiths took his first foray into management last season with Newark Town after a successful playing career.
As player-coach of the Blues, he helped guide Newark to the edge of the play-offs in their first season in the United Counties League Premier Division North.
He said: "I'm proud to join Grantham Town as manager.
"This is a fantastic opportunity and I was delighted to accept it.
"I fully share chairman Nick Johnston and the board's vision of building a true community club.
"My focus will be on bringing in the right people with the right mentality and restoring the winning spirit this town truly deserves."
Griffiths started his playing career with Boston United before spells with Deeping Rangers and Holbeach United.
He then went on to play for Spalding United, Lincoln United, Peterborough Sports and Sleaford Town.
Grantham chairman Nick Johnston commented: "We are excited to welcome Mitch to the Gingerbreads.
"From our first three-and-a-half-hour meeting, it was clear that he shares our ambitions and values.
"We are confident that Mitch's leadership will drive us forward and inspire the players, supporters, and the community.
"We look forward to an exciting new chapter under Mitch’s guidance and encourage everyone to get behind him and the team as we prepare for the upcoming season."
