The selection is the latest run of success for Hopkins who won the Lytham Trophy in May and finished third at the European Cup of Nations in Sotogrande, Spain, in March.

He was also seventh at the St Andrews Links Trophy last month and represented England against France in May's biennial match.

Hopkins had started the year with two top 10 finishes in Australia having been unbeaten in 2023 for Lincolnshire at the men’s county finals.
