Lady captain Jan Machin retains the Linda Cochrane Club Championship title at Belton Woods Golf Club
Lady captain Jan Machin continues to reign supreme at Belton Woods after retaining the Linda Cochrane Club Championship title.
The event was played over two days in beautiful sunshine and Jan started off by winning on the Woods course after going out in 45 and coming back in 43 with seven pars to beat Caroline Hills by two shots.
The second day on the Lakes course saw Pamela Watson triumphant after going out in 44 and coming back in 44 with six pars to beat Liz Moules by three shots.
The overall gross scores saw Jan Machin's 88+95=183 win the scratch Linda Cochrane silver salver ahead of Pamela Watson 96+88=184 and Trudi Galloway 96+91=187
Jan also topped the overall nett score with 70+75=145 ahead of Trudi Galloway 78+69=147 and Liz Moules 82+66=148.
It was a great weekend of competitive golf over the two courses which provided a good test of golf with both courses in immaculate condition.
