Kesteven Ladies score 116 points in their away win at Amber Valley

Kesteven Ladies passed the 100-point mark for the second time in three games after a convincing win at Amber Valley on Sunday.

The K's had crushed Ashfield Ladies last month after running out 126-0 winners in their Women's NC 2 Midlands (North) match.

And the Grantham side again broke the century barrier at the weekend with a 116-0 away success in Derbyshire.

It ensured a rapid return to winning ways for Kesteven who had been beaten 61-5 by Sheffield Tigers Women in their last match the previous weekend.

Beth Parker was the first to cross the line after fly hacking a loose ball before dotting it down.

The ladies were able to put into play the focus areas they had been working on in training to put on a good show for the crowd that had travelled.

Fed by Kerri Arlando, Megan Alderton charged on a boss line early on and was unstoppable by the home team who allowed her to cross the line without too much fight.

The ladies continued to dominate in attack after attack allowing Aimee Goument, Ami Boneham, Sam Vidler, Jess Castell-Smith and Kelly King all to cross the line before the break.

There was no let off in the second half as an early line out from inside Kesteven's 22 allowed them to put their set piece into action resulting in Vidler crossing the line for her hat-trick.

Simple hands and a great offloads allowed Arlando to cross the line to add to the already magnificent scoreline.

The support running again paid dividends to enable Becci Jones to break her nine year dry spell to score her first try for the team which was met with rapturous applause to complete the game.

The tries all came from Beth Parker, Sam Vidler (eight), Megan Alderton, Aimee Goument, Ami Boneham, Jess Castell-Smith, Kelly King, Kerri Arlando, Lilliemae Reid, Megan Jones and Becci Jones with conversions from Zoe Osborn (11) and Kelly King (two).

The victory leaves Kesteven third in the seven-team division ahead of this weekend's home match with Scunthorpe Women.
