Five members of Grantham Running Club compete at Great Shelford

Five members of Grantham Running Club made the trip to the village of Great Shelford in Cambridgeshire for their annual 5k race organised by the parish council to raise £5,000 for their local charities.

On a windswept lasso shaped course going through both Great and Little Shelfords, Peter Bonner was first home for Grantham in 18:37, his fastest 5k this year by some 31 seconds to come first in his age group.

Next back was Catherine Payne, also winning her age group after clocking 21:17 and finishing as seventh lady overall.
