Sudbrook Moor Golf Club member Ian Phillips hits hole in one on the third hole

Member Ian Phillips has enjoyed one of those very special golf moments when he holed his tee shot on the third hole in general play.

At Sudbrook Moor Golf Club, this achievement is commemorated with a medal, and something to be celebrated.

Last week there was another member enjoying a special and unique day.

Sudbrook Moor team captain David Lee, as guest of the Lincolnshire County president Steve Kellett, took part in a celebration of the 125th anniversary year of the County Golf Union.

Lee was drawn to play with Peter McKinstry of Thonock Golf Club and they finished in a creditable 12th place. The format was a Betterball Stableford.

All Lincolnshire golf clubs were represented at the host club, Seacroft Golf Club, and the golf competition was followed by a sit-down meal.
