RUGBY: King’s School trio compete at England trials
The King’s School first XV trio of Edward Bloodworth, Philip Fletcher and Callum Slack were selected to play for the Under-18 Midlands squad and competed in the England trials at Loughborough University.
It was the first time that King’s have had so many boys from the their first XV competing at such a high level.
Joshua Hubbard, also from King’s, was selected in the original 26-man set-up but was released from the squad when it was cut to 23.
King’s head of rugby Cathal McHugh said the lads were a credit to the school: “The boys have worked very hard to receive such a prestigious honour.”
