Sudbrook Moor Golf Club round-up

Reigning senior matchplay champion Neil Stokes showed his worth in the latest new season strokeplay Order of Merit at Sudbrook Moor.

Three great rounds have launched Stokes to the top position in the Ken Jameson Claret Jug Senior Golfer of the Year.

There is a substantial part of the year ahead but Stokes is a tenacious all-rounder who has his eye on his second major title in the short chapter as a senior competitor.

Mark Murphy is close on his heels with the ubiquitous Andy Dunderdale just one point adrift in third spot, shared with Richard Cocks, Joe Green and Gordon Hurn.

John Chambers, Mike Fox, Stuart Minter and Paul Young are not far behind.
