Whaplode Indian restaurant and takeaway up for sale

An Indian restaurant and takeaway is up for sale.

The Darjeeling on High Road Whaplode, is on the market for £250,000, with estate agent Pattinson suggesting the site has potential to be converted into housing subject to planning.

Owner Mohammed Khan refurbished the restaurant - which also includes a three-bed living area - and introduced a fish and chip takeaway service earlier this year.

“The ground floor features a welcoming reception area leading to a 40-45 seat restaurant and a fully-fitted bar,” the brochure says.

“The kitchen and preparation area comprise all the appliances necessary to cater to the available seating.

“Additionally, male and female restrooms, as well as extra storage, are situated on the ground floor.

South Holland residents have proven they have an appetite for Indian food following the launch of the Jashir restaurant in Spalding in June.

The brochure states the restaurant is ‘fully operational’ but hints at potential to diversify by stating there is ‘conversion and development potential’ and ‘letting room capabilities’ although both are subject to planning permission.
