LincsOnline poll ask if readers think a Yorkshire Pudding belongs on a Christmas Day dinner

To Yorkshire pudding or not to Yorkshire pudding, that is the question for families planning their Christmas Day meals.

Often thought of as an integral part of a Sunday Roast, this firm favourite somehow manages to divide opinion when it comes to Christmas.

Some argue that they are too filling while others say that the size of a classic Yorkshire pud takes up too much real estate on the plate.

The counter argument is that they are a delicious and simple addition to a meal, made from just three ingredients, and the fact that they are hollow means you can pile other festive food into them without sacrificing anything else on the plate.

There is also the question of home made versus a packet from the freezer, then there is hot oil or goose fat or even air fryer — and can any truly live up to how Grandma used to make them?

But what do you think, does a Yorkshire pudding belong on a Christmas dinner?
