Teenage boy charged with attempted murder in Holbeach to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today




A teenager charged with attempted murder will appear in court today.

The 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident at Spalding Road in Holbeach at 1.52am yesterday (Sunday, July 28).

Police attended the scene where they found another 16-year-old boy with serious injuries.

“A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Holbeach,” a Lincolnshire Police statement read.

“The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded and is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court, this morning (July 29).

The victim was taken to hospital.

“We would politely ask people to respect the families of those involved and not to speculate on the circumstances of this incident while we continue our investigation,” a Lincolnshire Police statement added.

Police are also appealing for witnesses, and anyone with information is asked to email DS Kate Woods on kate.woods@lincs.police.uk quoting incident 55 of July 28.
