Horncastle High Street shut after ATM raid at Lloyds Bank
A town centre road has been closed off after an early morning raid on a cash machine.
Police say the ATM was ripped from the wall of Lloyd Bank on Horncastle High Street just before 3am today (Saturday October 18).
A force spokesman said: “We are on scene gathering further details and carrying out enquiries. For now, the public is made aware as the road closures on the High Street and Bull Ring are likely to cause disruption in the town. Please avoid the area if you can.”
Officers say that several motorists are still trying to access the area, despite the closures and have urged them to stay away.
Anyone with information about the incident can call police on 101, quoting incident 56 of today.
