Competitive children aim high in creative challenges ten years ago

Youngsters picked up medals after taking part in three different challenges on this week in 2012.

Children from all across our area got involved in the Great South Holland Artsathlon over the summer.

They all tried out challenges in different art genres to win points towards their medal tally.

Olympics torchbearer Amanda Scase presented 25 medals.

There were 13 bronze, eight silver and four gold to give out.

A charity ball was held in memory of a popular Holbeach man ten years ago.

Graham Mackman’s daughter Kelly Beba had organised the event as a tribute to her dad, raising money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Fund.

More than 200 people attended the Crystal Charity Ball at Spalding’s South Holland Centre, where the Wild Boys and Generation K performed.
