Flower Queen Amy Coates enjoys the Flower Parade in 2009

It was the Flower Parade Spalding didn't expect to see after it was initially axed over health and safety concerns.

But after a public outcry, the parade was reinstated and 250,000 people came to town and also to Springfields' new Spalding Flower Festival.
