Schools from around the district got involved in singing their hearts out in 1997
These singers from four different schools were hitting the high notes 25 years ago.
One hundred youngsters from Deeping St James, Market Deeping, Linchfeild and William Hildyard Primary schools were preparing for the annual Deeping Community Concert.
They were joined by Grimsthorpe Colliery Band.
Proceeds from the concert went to St Johns Ambulance, SENSE in Market Deeping and the Wingfield Fellowship Trust.
Sir John Gleed Technology School offered their generous donations 25 years ago.
Pupils helped Wilf Hugill loaded up a lorry with collected items such as toiletries, clothing and toys as gifts for an orphanage in Romania.
Sixth form co - ordinator Mandy North said: “We are very pleased with the amount of things we raised.
“We would like to thank everyone at the school and the local people who helped us and donated items towards the trip.”
