38-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of firearms offence following raid in Lincoln

Police have launched an investigation following the arrest of a woman suspected of committing a firearms offence.

Armed officers were deployed to an address at St Helen’s Avenue in Lincoln yesterday afternoon to raid a property.

A 38-year-old woman was taken into custody after being arrested at Boultham Park Road under the suspicion that she was in possession of a firearm without certification.

Police remained at the scene while enquiries took place and, as pictures and videos circulated online, asked that the public help maintain the integrity of the investigation by refraining from speculation.
