Celebrate brilliant bangers at the Lincoln Sausage Festival

A popular sausage festival returns this weekend with something for the whole family.

The Lincoln Sausage Festival will take place on Saturday (October 12) at Lincoln Castle between 10am and 5pm.

The castle grounds will be filled with stalls full of food and drink, with plenty of Lincolnshire sausages to either eat on the day or take home. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for live entertainment from the Cosmic Sausages and Juggling Jim.

Earthbound Misfits will be swinging by throughout the day, to offer circus skills workshops for all ages. There will also be a face painting station and a chance to meet mascots Mr and Mrs Sausage.

For the adults, there will be a cookery demonstration by chef, Rachel Green, at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.45pm, and Zest Brewery will be serving up a wide selection on alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks – including a crowd favourite beer called Spicy Sausage.

The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia and this year will mark 20 years of the festival. Entry costs £2 and will be free for children.
