A comedian who has appeared on Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo is bringing his ‘most personal’ show to the area in the new year.
Ed Byrne’s Tragedy Plus Time documents one of the most tragic events in his life for laughs - and his nationwide tour is coming to Lincoln New Theatre Royal on Thursday, January 23 next year.
Voted by the British Comedy Guide as Best Comedy Show of 2023, the title reflects a quote attributed to Mark Twain that humour is defined as ‘tragedy plus time’ — and the show earned rave reviews from LincsOnline when it came to Spalding.
The leading laugh specialist, who is a household favourite appearing regularly on QI and as a guest on The Graham Norton Show, will test this formula which centres on the death of his younger brother.
