Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance calls for knitters to get creative with ‘yarn bomb’ project to celebrate 30th anniversary
An air ambulance charity is calling for nifty knitters to help with its latest project spreading the message of its vital work.
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance wants to ‘yarn-bomb’ the community with yellow-knitted helicopters to show support for its life-saving teams.
Whether you create a single mini helicopter or an eye-catching post-box topper, the charity hopes the challenge will create a cornucopia of colour.
“This is a fabulous way to support the life-saving work of Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance from the comfort of your own home.
“With your help, we are looking to colour the counties of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire yellow with thousands of miniature helicopters.”
Each knitter will receive a pattern by designer Amanda Berr as well as more information.
