Collingham Fire Station crews attend incidents of vehicles on fire this week on A17 and Harby, supported by Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue
Fire crews have attended two incidents of vehicles on fire in just two days.
On Tuesday (October 7), Collingham Fire Station crews, supported by pumps from colleagues at Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue, attended a car fire on the A17, east of Coddington.
Crews from the Newark Fire Station also responded to the incident, which involved a sports car.
The fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported.
The day before in the early hours of Monday morning (October 6), Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue crews from Collingham were mobilised to reports of a car fire near Harby.
The van fire was extinguished by a hose reel jet carried by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
The van was discovered to be carrying scrap metal. Nottinghamshire Police were informed before crews left the incident.
