Former Lincolnshire Police PCSO in court on firearms offences
A former Lincolnshire Police worker who is charged with firearms offences has appeared in court.
Zoe Watts, 38, who had worked as a police community support officer for more than eight years, was arrested after armed police were deployed to an address at St Helen’s Avenue, Lincoln, on December 11.
Lincolnshire Police later charged Miss Watts with three offences: possession of a firearm within a five-year prohibited period, possession of a firearm without a certificate, and manufacture of a weapon.
Miss Watts, of St Helen's Avenue, Lincoln, today (Monday) appeared before Judge Simon Hirst at Lincoln Crown Court.
Appearing via a videolink from HMP Peterborough, Miss Watts spoke only to confirm her name.
Tom Heath, defending Miss Watts, said there would be no application for bail.
The Crown Prosecution Service was represented by Jon Dee.
No pleas were entered to the charges and Judge Hirst told Miss Watts that she remained remanded into custody.
Miss Watts will next appear for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on February 13.
